Facebook Launching Graph Search on Monday
Facebook is launching graph search today. Announced last January, Graph Search is Facebook’s advanced search engine that allows you to search your Facebook social graph for people, places, things, and photos. Graph search allows you to ask specific questions like “Which of my friends live in Vancouver”.
Facebook claims that the new search engine is more accurate than the previous one.
Users should see the new search dialogue box appear in their search box today.
The big question that remains is what does this mean for your privacy on Facebook? With people being able to ask specific questions such as “Which of my co-workers is single?”, You may find out that you don’t have as much privacy on Facebook as you may have thought.
We will keep a detailed eye on the new feature as it rolls out, and return with our thoughts later in the week.
