Lacetech Industries Ltd. sells the ultimate in shoelaces; Ironlace™, Ironlace™ Sport and Ironlace™ Paracord. With great success in selling their shoelaces through Amazon and various retailers throughout the US and Canada, they wanted to start selling their product on their own website.

The owners had researched a couple of ecommerce website providers including Shopify and Volusion but weren’t sure if there were other options.

Ironlace already had a website created with WordPress that they were happy with so at our initial consultation we suggested the most cost-effective course of action would be to expand their current website rather than move the entire site to a new platform. This would save them in two ways; they wouldn’t have the upfront cost of redesigning the site somewhere else from scratch, as well, with WordPress, there would be no monthly fees to pay in comparison to the online platforms they were considering.

Within two months, Ladder Up revised the design of the website, created the necessary documentation/pages for merchant account set up, added the necessary shopping cart software and product information, uploaded the necessary tax tables, enabled reviews of the products, and consulted on the set up and purchase of the merchant account, PayPal, and SSL Certificate.

Before launching the redesigned website, Ladder Up also began campaigning and optimizing their website and social media profiles including Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ and upgraded the design of each page.

On the day of the ecommerce launch. Ironlace received their first online purchase within the first 6 hours and after the first month, 45 purchases. Yes!
