International Women’s Day 2020

International Women’s Day gives us a collective opportunity to focus on the diverse and critical issues of diversity, equality, and gender balance in both our professional and personal lives. We are truly blessed and yet challenged to live in a time when understanding and acceptance of true gender equality is constantly evolving, and yet we know that there is so much further to go and work to be done.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2020 is: #EachforEqual

An equal world is an enabled world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world. Let’s all be #EachforEqual.

Into the Future

As the engagement and promotion of women in every field of study and every career role continues to grow, we know that here at home and around the world, opportunities for women and girls is ever increasing, yet there is so far to go.

As recently as December 2019, Small Business trends reported that still only 20% of tech jobs are held by women (Infographic), and we know that in many industries the numbers are far less. Around the world women still fight for the basics of equality and fairness, and even the possibility to explore their potential. We hope and strive for better days ahead and believe in the encouragement and education of girls throughout society.
